Pharmacy is a competitive course and getting in to a good university will be on the forefront of your mind. This course will give you the tools you need to excel in your application to Pharmacy school. You will be given top tips and advice into the application process, including what admissions tutors look for in a candidate, insight into creating a strong personal statement and advice on interviews. Our courses are interactive and there will be an opportunity to ask questions during our Q&A session.

Dr Samantha McLean

Sam is currently the Director of Marketing and Admissions for School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at the University of Bradford. She graduated from University of Leeds with a First-class degree in Pharmacology in 2006 and then was awarded a PhD in Neuropharmacology in 2010. Sam currently works as a Lecturer in Pharmacology and is passionate about combining science and practice in her teaching areas of mental health and neurological conditions. She has extensive experience of reviewing pharmacy personal statements and carrying out outreach activities at school and colleges. 


Nadeem Salim

Nadeem graduated in pharmacy from Liverpool John Moore's University in 1995 and then went on to do a post graduate diploma from Keele University in 2001. In 2016 he qualified as a practice pharmacist as well as an independent prescriber. He is currently a managing support pharmacist and pre-registration manager for Cohen's group, as well as a practice pharmacist at Chadderton Medical Practice.

Nadeem is keen on supporting students with their application to university to study pharmacy. He often has college students shadowing him for work experience and trains pre-registration students. 

Hudaifah Sharif

Hudaifah is currently a pre-registration pharmacist working at Nottingham University Hospitals. He graduated from Keele University earlier this year achieving a First-Class Honours degree. Prior to commencing his pre-registration year, he worked at a hospital outpatient pharmacy - Trust Pharmacy for a year and also completed placements with Boots, Manor Pharmacy and Cohens Pharmacy. 

Alongside pharmacy-based employment and work experiences, he engaged with Keele University on a number of events as a student ambassador, student academic representative and a member of the interview panel for prospective candidates for the MPharm. His passion for assisting in academic and university matters has driven his enthusiasm in continuing this role within pharmacy, which is reflected by his role as a Regional Pre-registration Pharmacy Programme Representative for East Midlands (Hospital Pharmacy).
