This course is packed full of everything you need to know to get into medical school. Our experienced speakers will provide you with an overview of the medical application process; from completing your UCAS personal statement to advising you on how to prepare for your interview and everything in between. Our courses are interactive and there will be an opportunity to ask questions during our Q&A session.

Our Speakers

Dr Rohan Agarwal

Dr Rohan Agarwal graduated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, and is now a fully qualified Doctor. Over the last five years he has become a UCAS admissions expert having tutored hundreds of successful Oxbridge and Medical applicants. He has authored over 60 books targeted at university admissions, interviews and admissions tests. He has also authored educational articles at The Independent and The Huffington Post which received critical acclaim. He is the Managing Director of UniAdmissions, a University admissions company that specialises in helping students applying for competitive courses such as Medicine and Law.

Dr Hassan Riaz

Dr Hassan Riaz is currently a General Practitioner (GP) Partner. Having obtained his medical degree at the University of Sheffield, he then went on to complete his Foundation year training in both Leeds and Harrogate. Being from Manchester, he chose to return to undertake his GP speciality training within the Pennine Trust and was successfully awarded his MRCGP in 2017. In addition to his day to day role as a GP Partner he has actively sought to undertake further clinical and managerial roles, acting as the Clinical Lead for chronic kidney disease and  is an active member of the Primary Care Network. His commitment to teaching and training has led him to oversee foundation year doctors within Primary Care.  

Gabriella Wilks

Gabriella is currently studying medicine at Barts and the London (Queen Mary University of London) and is one of the course representatives. She has a keen interest in Paediatrics. She completed the IB diploma in 2018 with higher levels in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. She excelled in her application to med school and will not only be sharing her experiences of the admissions process, but will be giving you some great tips and useful resources to help you achieve your goal of getting into med school!

Lucy Scott

Lucy is currently studying medicine at Keele University. After completing a BA in Philosophy at Exeter University in 2010, Lucy travelled and lived overseas, settling in New Zealand for two years before returning to the UK. She then spent a year and a half undertaking healthcare related work in preparation for going back to study to become a Doctor (a dream she could not let go of.) Her healthcare background and her degree in Philosophy gave her an edge in her interviews in which she excelled. She will be talking about the dreaded MMI stations and how to think critically when applying to med school.
